U.S. Airports with The Best and Worst Wait Times

Travel times to get through security and passport control for international flights are taking longer than pre-pandemic as those of you who have flown since the pandemic might have noticed. Bounce the luggage storage company recently compiled data from both the Transportation Security Administraion (“TSA”) and the U.S. Department of Customs and Border Protection to determine the worst and best U.S. airports in terms of overall wait times. Florida holds the distinction of having 3 of the top 7 worst airports with Miami finishing as the worst in terms of wait times internationally and Palm Beach that finished as the 7th worst overall holds the dubious distinction of having the longest wait times for domestic flights. San Francisco has the longest wait times on the West Coast, but our hometown of San Diego also found itself in the top 10 worst list due to understaffing.

On the plus side there are several U.S. airports that Bounce found had relatively short wait times.  While Raleigh-Durham came out on top, Newark Liberty International has reportedly the shortest TSA wait lines. Here are the top 10:
