What’s New in Las Vegas?
A lot is happening in Sin City lately. What’s new in Las Vegas? Here are some highlights in terms of travel restrictions, upgrades to top buffets, Fourth of July celebrations and headliner entertainment.
Vegas is Returning to Normal
As of June 1, 2021 Vegas has relaxed all rules relating to large gatherings, social distancing and the like. Casinos, restaurants and performance venues can return to pre-pandemic levels. A celebration was held in downtown Vegas with live music and no mask or social distancing requirements for the first time since the pandemic.
Famous Buffets are Being Upgraded
Vegas’ largest buffet the Bacchanal at Caesar’s Palace has reopened after a $2.4 Million makeover. The upgrades include both the décor and food. Significant upgrades have been made to the restaurant’s appearance with stone and glass. The improvements to the food offerings include over 100 new international dishes and roving carts. The restaurant accommodates 600. Reservations are available through Open Table so that waiting on long lines is no longer necessary. Better yet, despite all these improvements the current price for the buffet is the same as pre-pandemic or $64.99 a person. Standard hours are 4-10 p.m. Thursday though Monday.
Fourth Of July Celebrations are Happening
At 11 p.m. on the Fourth of July, fireworks will be set off from 7 different resorts which promises a one of a kind firework show.
Upcoming Vegas Entertainment is Stellar
The entertainment lineup in Vegas for the summer and rest of the year are impressive. In July, Bruno Mars has several shows at Park MGM that are already sold out. Miley Cyrus has a show at the new Resorts World that same month, as to does Usher at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. Comedy fans can attend shows by Chelsea Handler and Bill Maher at the Mirage in July also. Later in the year, Resorts World will feature shows by Celine Dion in November and Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry in December.
