Welcome to Tanzania! Brand g’s professional local team will meet you at Kilimanjaro International airport from your independently scheduled flight and transfer you to the Gran Melia Arusha Hotel. Today is at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities and recuperate after your journey.
This evening, meet your fellow Brand g guests, the Brand g tour hosts and the local tour team during a welcome reception, followed by dinner at “The Roof Top” situated on the top floor of the hotel, with incredible views of Mount Meru, the second highest mountain in the country.
(Welcome Reception, Dinner)
Africa awaits! And there is no better way to experience the majesty than to explore one of Africa’s greatest wildlife areas: the Serengeti. It’s the only place where you can witness millions of migrating wildebeest over the Acacia plains, it’s the cradle of human life, and probably the closest to an untouched African wilderness you will ever get.
Brand g uses local aircraft to fly you into the Serengeti National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five as we make our way to the incredible Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge, our home for the next three nights. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and take some time to explore the property and indulge in the comforts of your luxuriously appointed accommodations. This afternoon, embark on your first safari to witness the incredible array of wildlife and to start checking off your list of sightings of the incredible “Big 5” – Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Cape Buffalo and Rhino.
After, return to the lodge where cocktails and a sumptuous dinner await before a restful night’s sleep.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, rise early for your morning safari. This time of the year is the time of the Great Wildebeest Migration, an annual, clockwise trek of over 1.5 million wildebeest, plus zebras and gazelles, across Tanzania’s Serengeti and into Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of rainfall and fresh grasses. The presence of these great wandering beasts brings in the predator species who follow the migration for their own survival.
Or, you may choose to take an optional balloon safari (weather permitting). This is an opportunity to witness the grandeur of the vast plains of the Serengeti for a very unique and unforgettable perspective, gliding peacefully across the skies in a colorful hot air balloon. See the Add-ons section on this page for more details, and be sure to lock in your place at the time of booking.
After your morning safari, return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast, thoughtfully prepared for you with the freshest ingredients. Then, spend the day in total relaxation, enjoying the lodge facilities including a serene spa, free-form pool infinity pool, fitness center, two boutiques, three restaurants, and all-inclusive food and beverage. You may also choose to spend time in the lodge’s Discovery Center – a unique and interactive place to learn about local wildlife, Maasai culture and history, and to get involved in ongoing research projects.
This afternoon, enjoy another sunset safari followed by an evening recounting your day’s adventures over cocktails and another gourmet dining experience.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Awake early and take another opportunity to witness the spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration as well as the plethora of other species that inhabit these vast plains. Or, this morning brings a second opportunity to join an optional balloon safari (weather permitting). Again, see the Add-ons section on this page for more information. With a selection of morning and late afternoon safari drives there will be ample opportunities to witness wildlife in their natural habitat.
This will be an unforgettable day as you learn more about the Serengeti in the hotel’s Discovery Centre. Alternatively, a pool and spa will offer relaxation while soaking up once of nature’s unique sceneries.
Dining is exquisite and a traditional “Bush Dinner” under the watchful protection of Maasai Tribespeople will be a memory to last a lifetime.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, enjoy one last safari and another sumptuous breakfast before you bid a fond farewell to the incredible Four Seasons staff and extraordinary guides. You’ll the board local flights to fly to Kilimanjaro airport, where our private jet is waiting to take you on a lunch time flight to Nosy Be in Madagascar. Your aircraft offers 50 lie-flat seats in a two-by-two configuration ensuring all guest will either be seated at the window or the aisle. Premium catering, including an open bar, will make time onboard be a real treat, and the aircraft and crew will soon become a familiar part of your Africa adventure.
After clearing arrival formalities in Nosy Be, we travel to Mont Passot for an aperitif overlooking the Madagascan countryside. After, you make your way to the hotel, your group has time to refresh before dinner accompanied by a local dance group performance.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, you set out by boat to Ampasipohy and enter Lokobe National Park, the last protected primary forest on Nosy Be. It is home to many varieties of endemic medicinal plants and ancient trees, lemurs, reptiles, chameleons and tropical birds. The Eulemur Macaco is the flagship species of the park. What makes this Park unique is the existence of primary forest to the edge of the sea as well as the presence of rock formations and viewpoints. The visit in the park is by walking (although not very strenuous) for approximately one hour.
You continue to the local village for refreshment before we board local dugouts and paddle to where our transport is waiting to take you back to the hotel in time for lunch.
This afternoon, Professor Jonah will give a lecture about the lemurs and the natural history of Madagascar.
Lemurs are endemic to Madagascar (and some nearby islands like Comoros), meaning they live nowhere else in the wild. There are about 100 species of lemurs ranging in size from tiny mouse size one to the large indri type. The name “lemur” comes from the Latin lemures, meaning “spirits of the dead,” because of their large reflective eyes and nocturnal habits.
This evening you enjoy dinner at the hotel.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you embark on a full-day trip to explore beyond Nosy Be itself. First, sail to Nosy Komba where you will visit the village of Ampangorina to see the handicraft products and the table clothes market. Nosy Komba is famous for sculpture, its colorful stalls and its smiling faces. Nosy Komba is the 2nd biggest volcanic island behind Nosy Be and is best known for its small lemur sanctuary with black and brown lemur.
After the visit, you continue your journey as we sail to Nosy Tanikely to enjoy snorkeling and swimming including a picnic lunch.
Nosy Tanikely is a protected submarine natural reserve. Snorkeling equipment is all you need to enjoy a real-life size aquarium! A few steps from the beach, you can see all kinds of corals, anemones, multicolored fishes, shellfish, and if you are lucky, you might even see turtles.
This evening, you enjoy dinner with your Brand g group at the hotel.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Following breakfast, you leave behind Madagascan charm and the unique flora and fauna not to mention lemurs of this enchanting island, as you return to our private aircraft for a lunch time flight to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side.
Upon arrival, you travel to The Victoria Falls Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the historic Victoria Falls Hotel and its beautiful grounds. Tonight’s included dinner provides a choice of restaurants including the hotel, room service or two restaurant choices in Victoria Falls.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you set out on a guided tour of the Falls to learn about its incredible size and water displacement, and the significance of the falls to the indigenous population. Today also offers the incredible experience of a 25-minute helicopter flight over Victoria Falls. The views of Victoria Falls from a bird’s eye perspective are simply unparalleled.
Victoria Falls was well-known to the local people for thousands of years before Scottish explorer David Livingstone became the first European to see it in 1855, naming it after Queen Victoria of Britain. Its local name is Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders”. The falls became a major tourist destination in the late 20th century. June to August is often considered the “best” time for a combination of high water, comfortable temperatures, lush surroundings, and better visibility for photography at Victoria Falls, so we are here at an excellent time.
Our morning is rounded off with lunch at the “Lookout Café” offering breathtaking views over the gorge and the Zambezi River.
This evening, you board our private boat for a dinner cruise on the Zambezi River, which feeds the Falls. Take in the beautiful sunset as you spot hippos bathing and perhaps crocodiles taking in the last rays of the sun along the riverbank.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, enjoy one last breakfast at the beautiful Victoria Falls Hotel before you head to the airport to rejoin your private jet for the flight to Walvis Bay, Namibia. Indulge in a gourmet lunch on board served by the ever-attentive crew.
Upon arrival at Walvis Bay International Airport, you clear immigration and customs formalities and then board your onward connection to Sossusvlei by smaller private aircraft. The flight to Sossusvlei will offer a spectacular view over the unique Namib landscape of shifting sands, which stretch endlessly, displaying a living desert tapestry of reds and golds.
You are met by the lodge staff at Sossusvlei Lodge Airfield with welcome drinks prior to being transferred to the lodge. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to freshen up before – later in the afternoon – joining your fellow-travelers for a sundowner drink under the camelthorn trees at the lodge. The quiet and peace of your surroundings will no doubt be a refreshing tonic after the activities at Victoria Falls.
Tonight, enjoy an al fresco buffet dinner with an expansive selection to cater to every taste. The remainder of the evening will be at leisure.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today’s early start will ensure you make the most of your day. Sossusvlei is a dry clay depression surrounded by the highest dunes on earth. The apricot-colored sand dunes rise more than1,000 feet into the blue sky. In rainy years, the Tsauchab River flows into the depression, damming the water and attracting numerous animal species. But even in the dry season, various species of game and birds can be seen. After drying out, a cracked, light grey to white clay surface remains in the depression.
The monumentally high, star-shaped dunes of Sossusvlei surpass even those of the Sahara. you have the opportunity to climb some of these tall dunes, master Big Daddy and Dune 45, or take a walk of approximately .7 mile to the iconic Deadvlei. These dunes are a sought-after destination for photographers and artists alike.
While you explore the sea of dunes stretching as far as the eye can see, the team will prepare a full English breakfast to enjoy upon your return. After breakfast, you will travel to Sesriem Canyon. The canyon was naturally carved out by the Tsauchab river in the local sedimentary rock, about one kilometer and up to 30 meters deep in some places. The name Sesriem is taken from the Afrikaans language and means “six leather thongs”, which is the length it required to haul water from the bottom.
Returning from your morning activities, the remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure before joining a sundowner drive, which will be followed by a buffet bush dinner under the stars. Certainly, a memory-making moment that will last a lifetime!
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Important: Do not underestimate the sun and the high temperatures! Nor the bone-chilling cold in the winter months when the wind can last for days. Always wear a hat and don’t forget the sunscreen. The heat is easy to bear because of the dryness, but you should drink enough fluids. You can expect daytime temperatures well into the upper 80’s, but also near 32 degrees in the morning and evening!
Mid-morning, after a leisurely breakfast, you will transfer back to the Sossusvlei Lodge airfield for our flight connection to Walvis Bay Airport, where you will rejoin the awaiting private jet to take us on the lunchtime flight to Kigali in Rwanda.
After clearing arrival formalities in Kigali, you travel into the city sprawled across numerous hills, ridges and valleys. Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital, blends modern elegance with rich cultural heritage, offering travelers a safe, clean, and welcoming gateway to East Africa. The city’s proximity to breathtaking gorilla treks makes Kigali the perfect launchpad for unforgettable adventures.
Tonight, you enjoy dinner at Milima restaurant in the hotel, one of Kigali’s best restaurants.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Following an included breakfast at the hotel, you depart the hotel for a city tour of Kigali featuring the Genocide Memorial Museum. Kigali has been at the center of the country’s dedication to move past their tragic history and make the country stronger and better than ever. The city has been hailed as one of the cleanest, safest and prettiest capital cities in Africa. This is unsurprising, considering the substantial strides Rwanda has taken to ameliorate the country, from its ban of plastic bags to the implementation of Umuganda which sees a monthly coalition of all citizens to clean up their neighborhoods. Kigali’s extensive development has also seen the growth of cultural and contemporary activities; shopping at trendy artisan hub Kigali Cultural Village, exploring the explosion of colors at Kimironko Market, enjoying the city’s burgeoning dining and café scene, or honoring the country’s painful past by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
Following lunch at Hotel Mille Collines, you will depart the city and drive through to the scenic foothills of Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at your lodge for dinner & overnight.
In Rwanda, the group will be split across different lodges, though everyone will come together for gorilla trekking and the Dian Fossey experience. Depending on the ultimate size of the group, there will be three or four carefully chosen lodges, all of which deliver a consistently high level of service and comfort. The quality of each lodge ensures a seamless guest experience, with the real focus remaining on the unforgettable gorilla trekking.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After an early breakfast, you drive the short distance to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for what no doubt will be one of the absolute highlights of the trip, our gorilla tracking adventure. Upon arrival, you will be split up into smaller groups and be given a full briefing by trackers, who will inform you about the gorilla family we are tracking, what to expect during the track, how to behave when with the family, and how long you will be with them. Once the briefing is complete, you will meet porters who will help carry your backpacks and help with your footing during the hike. Then your driver guide will take you to the start of the trail head to begin your amazing adventure.
Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda is often described as “life-changing” and with good reason. With just 1,000 gorillas left in the world, to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is a truly unique and memorable experience. Gorillas make their homes in and amongst the bamboo-covered slopes of the Virunga Mountains in the Volcanoes National Park. Your expert trackers will take you to visit habituated families of mountain gorillas where you can stay with them for an awe-inspiring hour, often crouching just a few feet away, while the gorillas go about their daily lives. Hikes in the mountains can last anywhere from one to six hours, depending on the family allocated to each group and their location. The journey back can take just as long, but you are often carried along by the euphoria you feel after sighting these majestic creatures.
At the end of this lifechanging experience you’ll return to your respective lodges in time for lunch.
This afternoon you visit The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for a Silverback Sundowner experience. You are invited to tour the gallery and meet with gorilla experts in the Virunga Overlook Lounge to learn about the conservation work being done, including a Q&A session. Drinks and snacks will be provided during the event. After, we return to our lodges for dinner and a well-deserved night of sleep.
ALTERNATE EXPERIENCE**: For those looking for a less physically demanding experience today, Brand g offers the option of Golden Monkey trekking. This experience is faster-paced, more lighthearted, and less physically demanding than Gorilla trekking, which is slower, more immersive, and emotionally intense due to the gorillas’ complex social behavior. Golden monkeys are small, agile primates with striking golden-orange fur, endemic to the Virunga Mountains.
Trekkers often encounter large troops of 30–100 monkeys. These monkeys are playful, fast-moving, and often leap through bamboo forests, making the experience lively and dynamic. The monkeys are found in lower elevations of Volcanoes National Park, especially in bamboo zones. Treks are generally shorter (1–2 hours) and less strenuous that gorilla trekking, making it suitable for a wider range of fitness levels.
**When booking you will be prompted to select your preference of Gorilla OR Golden Monkey trekking.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

They clearly understood our needs and preferences and put together a superb trip based on their keen experience and knowledge. They were gracious and accommodating, and supported and checked in with us all along and made us feel very secure.
I was lucky enough to find Jonathan just by googling. He was very personable, friendly and professional. He was able to put our entire trip together in just a few days and checked on us every day of our trip to make sure we were satisfied. He is the best and only travel agent I will use going forward.
Jonathan Geen and Purple Light Vacations are beyond superior. Truly impressed with his customer service, attention to detail, and responsiveness. If these guys are helping you plan a trip, you can rest assured that it will be amazing!
My wife and I had the trip of a lifetime in France for our 20 year anniversary, thanks to Jonathan and Purple Light Vacations. His ideas for hotels, itinerary and tours were spot on. Jonathan was quick to respond to any question or inquiry, whether by email or phone, any time or day of the week. He went over and above to make sure we were taken care of, and even provided information about places he didn't even book for us. Purple Light is now our go-to firm for travel and vacations.
Thank you Jonathan for making my dream come true! Bora Bora has been on our mind for years; for its exotic and remote location you are required to pay high $$$$! I thought it wasn't definitely within our budget.I was over the moon when Jonathan proved me wrong and found us an amazing deal!
He made all our arrangements and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed right down to the time of our departure. During our trip everything was seamless! I couldn't ask for a better experience
My husband and I recently took a trip to Thailand on a vacation that was booked thru Purple Light. Southeast Asia was new to us, and we wanted a bit of extra help. We got a ton of extra help, for free! Purple Light was with us the whole way- from early stages of planning to the actual booking and throughout our travel. When we arrived to our hotel room, flat-out beat from travel, there was champagne on ice to greet us. Wow! We've used them before, and will absolutely use them from now on. I just can't recommend them highly enough to our family and friends.

My husband and I just came back from our 5 year anniversary trip to Cancun. We told Jonathan the dates we wanted, our budget and what sorts of things we were looking to do. He got right on it! Booked us airfare, an amazing all-inclusive resort, transportation to and from the airport (which I wouldn't have even thought of!) and even booked us a trip to Chichén-Itza. He even gave us some tips on what do and where to visit while we were there. Easiest trip we've ever taken! Purple Light will always and forever be my go-to for any traveling! Will definitely be referring them to any of my friends and family
We love Purple Light Vacations. We have used them for quite a few trips and they always surpass our expectations. Jonathon is the absolute best. He takes care of all of the details and is very prompt in answering all of our questions. We will definitely use Purple Light Vacations for all of our traveling needs.
Purple Light has made planning several vacations easier for me. They worked out a family trip getting parents and siblings in from various places. More significantly, they helped us arrange two international vacations. After recommending Argentina to us, Jonathan took care of everything and it was probably our best vacation together ever. He also recommended the RSVP river boat cruise up the Danube from Budapest to Prague...wonderful trip! We've booked an Atlantis cruise through P.L. as well. Of course we could have booked on our own, but using Purple Light was so less stressful and provided...extra help and advice at no extra cost!
I used Jonathan and Purple Light to book a trip for my birthday celebration. He was very helpful and from the very first email contact to the end of the cruise Jonathan handled everything with excellence. His communication during the booking process to the day of starting the trip was very thorough and he missed no details. I will definitely be using Jonathan and Purple Light Vacations again for my future vacation and travel needs.
Jonathan of Purple Light Vacations guided us through the entire process to book our Atlantis Caribbean cruise at no additional charge to us. He kept us informed on all the details of the cruise and events happening on/off the boat. Upon arrival on the ship, a bottle of Merlot was waiting for us. Upon disembarkation, an email was waiting for us to see how we enjoyed the cruise as well as a card in the mail to welcome us home. This attention to detail did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. I hold Purple Light Vacations as the gold standard for high quality travel services.
Purple Light has booked vacations for us at Disneyland, Aruba, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, New York City, Bahamas, Brazil and two cruises and all this since January 2016. We are discerning frequent travelers with a budget in mind. Working with Purple Light gives us the confidence to keep planning more travel!
Normally I research and book hotels on my own. This year, however, I was extremely busy at work and I had no time to do this, so I reached out to Purple Light for their help in planning a trip to the Greek islands, and am glad I did! Purple Light recommended excellent hotels that I probably would not have found on my own, and they even provided helpful city island overviews that were referenced often. In addition, they helped fill in some of our time with tours that we thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend Purple Light and plan to use them again for my next trip!
We used Purple Light when we booked our Atlantis P.V. Mexico Resort Vacation. With no additional cost to us, Purple Light made what would have been a good vacation...an amazing vacation. They handled everything (airline, shuttles, etc.). Additionally, they provided excellent insight on what to expect on our vacation and what to see and what to avoid. I give them my highest recommendation.
Thank you Purple Light Vacations, and to Jonathan especially. Jonathan helped us plan an amazing Cuba Cruise for my bachelorette trip. It is not easy to book a trip for a large group including all of the flights, rooming/accommodations and excursions. Luckily, we just proposed dates, destinations in mind with a budget and Purple Light took care of the rest. Jonathan researched the options, made suggestions and provided us with great advice. He was so patient and informative throughout our planning process, and really made sure that everything worked out well.
After such a great experience, we also asked Purple Light in helping us plan a cruise for our parents too. Our parents were very happy and impressed with the entire trip. Thank you!!
We used Purple Light Vacations to help us book our hotel rooms in Copenhagen and Stockholm recently during a Baltic cruise. I had previously booked room through an online travel website but I'm glad I decided to go with Jonathan instead, or our hotel choices would have been in the wrong area. You can trust Purple Light Vacations to make sure you have a wonderful, surprise free vacation!
I took a short weekend vacation to Catalina Island with a friend and reached out to Purple Light and was amazed how quick they got me a hotel room and a list of great things to do! They went above and beyond!
I don't think I will take a trip without them!!
Thanks Jonathan and Purple Light!
We were in New Orleans for Southern Decadence. Purple Light Vacations recommended a spectacular hotel right in the area we were interested in staying. We have also traveled to Italy, France, and Barcelona where each of their recommendations was excellent! Everything went exactly as planned.
Jonathan and Purple Light are great! Had them manage our reservations for a couple of Atlantis cruises and always been incredibly responsive and on top of things
I used Purple Light's Copenhagen overview to plan for restaurants and get a sense of must-see sights in the city. The suggestions were perfect and I don't want to take another trip without consulting Purple Light before I travel. Recommended for a first-class vacation that leaves you free to spend your time enjoying the city rather than struggling to navigate it!
