NCL Adds More Solo Cabins and Options for Solo Travelers
Good news for solo travelers! NCL has laid out its plan to increase the number and types of solo cabins it offers. Starting in January of next year, NCL plans to increase its solo cabins fleetwide.
Specifically, starting January 2, 2024 NCL will start offering three new cabin options. These will be the Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview and Solo Balcony categories. Previously, the only option on NCL for solo travelers was their Studio cabins.
While pricing is dependent on the specific cruise, availability and other factors, solo travelers can expect to pay less than they would using a room for two at solo occupancy.
Guests who book these solo cabins will have access to the Studio Lounge that NCL has on some of its ships. These lounges have become popular areas for solo travelers to meet and socialize. This area includes a bar offering beer and wine and snacks.
“Since we first launched our solo staterooms in 2010 with Norwegian Epic, they have been quite popular with single travelers,” said David J. Herrera, the President of NCL. “After realizing the growing of individuals looking to travel on their own, we have now expanded single occupancy staterooms across our fleet.”
