Europe Starts to Welcome Fully Vaccinated Travelers
Looking to go to Europe this summer? While some countries like Italy and France are struggling with COVID outbreaks right now, here are three countries that have already announced plans to welcome fully vaccinated travelers from the U.S. this summer.
Greece
Greece has said that it plans to welcome fully vaccinated travelers including those from the U.S. this summer as early as May 14th.
Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theocharis announced “Greece is ready with a complete protocol for summer 2021,” , according to Reuters. “Tourists will be welcome if before travel they are either vaccinated, or have antibodies, or test negative (for COVID-19). All tourists will be subject to random testing.”
Greece offers so much in terms of both history and modern charms. Athens its capital is a historic city that has turned into a modern and cosmopolitan one. The Greek islands are varied and welcoming. While many have heard of popular Mykonos and Santorini, there are many more islands to visit. These include relatively big islands such as Crete and Rhodes, but also smaller but equally charming islands like Patmos.
Iceland
Iceland announced that as of March 18, 2021 travelers including those from the U.S. who have been fully vaccinated can enter the country without the need for either testing or quarantining. This is very welcome news for those hoping to check out this country’s endless summer light and natural beauty. Its capital city of Reykjavik is attractive and cosmopolitan. You won’t want to miss the famous Blue Lagoon, the Jokulsarlon Glacier or the Gullfoss Falls. You also don’t want to miss trying its unique cuisine which is famous for everything from hot dogs to dishes made with puffins.
Estonia

In fact, the whole country remains uncrowded and off the beaten path compared to the rest of Europe. Those looking for healthy living will also appreciate Estonia’s efforts to be named the world’s most organic country.
