The TSA recently changed its rules for some popular battery-like items. Now the following items must be put in carry-on luggage:

Power banks
Cell phone battery charging cases
Rechargeable and non-rechargeable lithium batteries
Cell phone batteries
Laptop batteries
External batteries
Portable rechargers

If you plan to fly with a power pack or battery, make sure it meets the following requirements:

Less than 100 Watts and clearly labeled as such.
Has TSA-compliant specifications.
