World of Color Returns to Disneyland

“World of Color” the nighttime spectacular that melds lasers and lights with fog, fire and water and music is returning to Disneyland.

World of Color will resume performances at the Disney California Adventure Park starting on April 22, 2022.

About the Show

The show is nothing short of impressive.  It simply brings animation to life. The “stage” at the theme park’s Paradise Bay is nearly one acre. It features a projected water screen of 19,000 square feet! Its fountains can send water to heights of 200 feet.

During the show you will see many different characters from Disney and Pixar. Some of the most well known and loved Disney movies are included such as “Beauty and the Beast” “Lion King”, “Aladdin”, “Toy Story”, the “Little Mermaid” and “Finding Nemo”

The popular show was inspired by Walt Disney himself. The show begins and ends with the theme song for the 60’s television show “The Wonderful World of Color” (a childhood favorite of mine). That theme song was incidentally written by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman who wrote the music for the movie “Mary Poppins”

New Virtual Queue Procedure

Upon its return,  a virtual queue that is only accessible through the Disney app will be added. Distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment will begin at noon daily.  You need a park ticket for the same day to enter the park for the show. For details on the queue system go HERE.
