Virgin Offers New Cruise Incentives for Business People Including the Planned Fastest Internet at Sea

Virgin Voyages has been changing the rules of cruising since its inception. It has made two recent announcements of cruise incentives for business people. These innovations may help business people maintain productivity while enjoying their time at sea.

New, Improved and Unprecedented WIFI Speeds

First, Virgin is claiming that do a new partnership for internet connectivity it will soon be offering its “sailors” connectivity speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps.

Virgin Voyages will be partnering with SES to deploy a combination of connectivity systems, including SES Cruise mPOWERED and Starlink PRO. Virgin plans to use these high performance systems on all its ships and will be calling it  ‘Pretty Fly for a Wi-Fi’. SES is based in Luxemburg and one of the world’s biggest satellite owners and operators

The technologies combine Medium and Low Earth Orbit satellite coverage and Geostationary satellites. According to SES and Virgin, Sailors will benefit from unprecedented connectivity speeds of up to 1.5Gbps per ship.

“Our exclusively adult cruise experiences are underpinned by unmatched levels of connectivity at sea that mirror those available on land, so we are excited to partner with SES to offer our guests and crew this level of connectivity, which is unlike any other in the market,” said Steven Worling, Senior Director of Infrastructure & Security at Virgin Voyages

New Scarlet Summer Pass

Virgin is also offering a summer 2024 “Scarlet Summer Pass” for those who are able to work remotely. The innovative offering gives you a longer cruise experience at a discount price. It was inspired by Richard Branson’s philosophy of combining work and play. Or as Virgin describes it ” the idea is that Sailors can seamlessly work poolside, stop in for yoga or a group spin class in between calls, and explore picturesque ports of call at their own pace.”

Richard Branson commented “I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to do my work from anywhere. When I started Virgin, I was actually working out of a houseboat.

The Season Pass includes four back-to-back voyages in a Central Sea Terrace cabin for two. The Sea Terrace cabins offer a private balcony, complete with Virgin Voyages’ signature red hammock.

Your journey will take you to varied ports places like Cannes, Rome, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, and Corsica that meld history with fun.

Pricing starts at $9,990 for two, offering savings of up to 30% compared to booking four independent voyages.
