Travel Tip-Which Luggage Piece is Better? A Four wheel or Two wheel case?

Many of us have met people on vacation who came in with a “lot of baggage” in every sense. In all seriousness, choosing the right luggage pieces for your travels is an important decision. Today, most people generally prefer and select luggage pieces that have two or four wheels so that they can be wheeled rather than carried. The question is which one is better for you.

Four wheeled cases distribute the weight of the bag between all four wheels therefore making it lighter and less of a burden for you. However, the wheels are smaller and sometimes have a mind of their own (think of one of those crazy shopping cart wheels). With a two wheeled case, the burden is shared between the two wheels and the luggage handle meaning that you will bear some of the weight. However, the advantage of a two wheeled case is that it is easier to maneuver over uneven ground. Therefore, you might want to locate a four wheeled case that can be tipped and moved as a two wheeler.

Whether you decide a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler is best for you, take it for a test run in the store. Make sure the handle height is comfortable for you and that you can maneuver it easily. Once you have decided on your wheel configuration and comfort, decide on whether a hard sided or soft sided suitcase works best for you. Then pick a color. Or a pattern. 2 wheelerHappy travels!
