The Star Seeker, A New Ship on the Horizon for Windstar
Windstar cruises is proudly looking forward to the launch of their newest ship the Star Seeker. The ship is set to launch in January of 2026 and Windstar will star to sell cruises on this exciting new ship next month. The ship is currently under construction at a Portugal shipyard. Windstar has released a few renderings and details of the ship.
Star Seeker Ship Details
The ship will be 431 feet long. It will feature 112 staterooms and suites that will accommodate a total of 224 guests. There is a high crew to passenger ratio with 135 international crew members aboard. The Star Seeker will offer a small pool and whirlpool. It will also offer 5 no extra cost dinign options, a spa and fitness center and a watersports platform.
It will offer many different stateroom/suite options from a those with infinity windows, to rooms and suites with large verandas. There will be a few suites that can accommodate 3 rather than 2 individuals. The ship will not have any interior staterooms.
The stateroom renderings from Windstar suggest modern and light colored woods and decor. Stijn Creupelandt, the Vice President of Hotel Operations for Windstar reportst that the inspiration for the stateroom decor is “the sea, sky and landscapes”. Creupelandt said that in contrast, the public areas would have brighter colored highlights inspired by sunsets and sunrises.
The Star Seeker’s Itineraries
The Star Seeker will be christened in Miami at Windstar’s headquarters and do one or more Caribbean cruises. It will then be moved to Alaska for Alaskan cruises during the summer and cruises in Japan and southeast Asia during other seasons.
