The “Real Love Boat” Debuts on CBS
For those of you like me who were fans of the original television show the “Love Boat” you will be happy to learn that a new reality television show called the “Real Love Boat” will debut on CBS on Wednesday October 5. The time slot is 9-10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time.
The show puts real singles on a Princess Cruise Lines ship in the Mediterrean and follows their intrigues of romance and travel. They are guided in their travels and matchmaking by experienced crew members. The crew members announced to date include Matt Mitcham (cruise director), Ezra Freeman (bartender) and Captain Paolo Arrigo.
While traveling to some of the most beautiful ports in the Mediterrean singles experience the ups and downs of romance. They will be paired and then tested with others to check compatibility. New single travelers will be added as the cruise continues and those who are unable to find a compatible partner will be left at port. After a month at sea one winning couple will receive a cash prize as well as a once-in-a-lifetime cruise opportunity courtesy of Princess Cruise Lines.
The show is produced by Eureka Productions in conjunction with Buster Productions. It will feature the iconic show theme song from the original Love Boat and will be sung by hosts Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell.
Th “Real Love Boat” show will also be available for streaming through Paramount+
