Royal Caribbean’s Newest Ship the Icon of the Seas Is on the Horizon
Royal Caribbean will be launching the Icon of the Seas from Miami in January of next year. The ship RCL ‘s newest and biggest will be by some calculations the largest cruise ship in the world. The Icon of the Seas already has its share of fans (and a few foes who say bigger is not always better)
It will have much for thrill seekers including Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea that includes six record-setting waterslides including The Frightening Bolt and the Pressure Drop, the first open drop free fall waterslide.
It will offer 7 pools. This includes two pools just for adults to chill and relax including Swim and Tonic, with RCL’s first swim up bar and the infinity pool, Cloud 17.
Skating fans will be glad to hear that RCL has expanded their ice rink at sea. They will no call the rink space Absolute Zero and it will offer expanded ice show experiences.
The Icon of the Seas will feature over 20 dining and over 15 nightlife venues.
