Day 2

Melbourne

Friday, April 30, 2027
After a leisurely breakfast, meet your Brand g hosts and a local historian in the hotel lobby and commence a walking tour through the heart of ‘Marvelous Melbourne’. Your journey starts with a ride on one of Melbourne’s iconic and much-loved trams (trolley cars). Your guide will lead you through the city’s fascinating labyrinth of atmospheric arcades and alleyways – you will discover lanes filled with trendy cafes and eclectic boutiques not to mention some ‘out there’ graffiti street art and of course you will have plenty of time along on the way to admire landmark buildings like the Block Arcade with its dazzlingly high Victorian interior decoration or some truly grand 19th century commercial buildings like the Gothic Bank. You will see the hand of progress as you encounter buildings that have been renewed and transformed like old General Post Office. This Arcades and Alleyways tour is a wonderful way to discover Melbourne’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Next, you take a short walk to the National Gallery of Victoria, located at Federation Square, for an exclusive insider experience. The National Gallery of Victoria Australia’s collection incorporates some very exciting exhibitions including a curatorial Fashion & Textiles collection inspired by historical and contemporary design. All the very best Australian artists are represented in the extensive collections across this magnificent gallery.

Later you board your coach and head down to the seaside suburb of St Kilda for lunch.

After lunch, on our way back to your hotel, you’ll visit important landmarks and venues significant to the LGBTQ+ community including the new Victorian Pride Centre, learn about the history of the area, and end with a drink in a gay-friendly bar in the city, The Prince Bar & Pub which is located at a few minutes’ walk from the Pride Centre.

After returning to the hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure, and dinner is on your own.

Finally, the opportunity will present itself to view the iconic Koala and other unique animals such as Dingos, Wombats and the Tasmanian Devil.

Next, you visit Pt Leo Estate, a unique winery with a twist! As you meander up the driveway and past the cascading vines, you are welcomed with the sight of an inspiring Grand Arch, a 70-year old Queensland King bottle tree and a doorway that offers a teasing glimpse of something truly remarkable. Day 4

Melbourne – Uluru

Sunday, May 2, 2027
Meet your fellow guests and hosts in the lobby and transfer by coach to the Melbourne Airport for your onward flight to Uluru. On arrival, you will be met by a knowledgeable local guide and travel to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park; a place where unique flora and fauna thrive.

Here an expert local guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site. Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. The spirituality of this amazing location embraces everyone who ventures here.

Later you arrive to our accommodations, the five star Sails in the Desert hotel, where you’ll enjoy an included lunch before checking in to your room, where you’ll have some time to refresh before dinner tonight at the hotel.

Day 5

Uluru

Monday, May 3, 2027
Today, rise early and experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light, a once-in-a-lifetime event in Uluru. Under cover of darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colors of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white. Then make your way to the dune top, where you’ll be served tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Watch in awe as the sun pops up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light. As the landscape brightens, the Field of Light will dim for the day. There’s a chance for some amazing photos from this unique raised location that allows you to view both Kata Tjuta and Uluru in all their natural glory.

After Sunrise, you return to the hotel for a hot breakfast. Later this morning, you meet your driver/guide in the hotel lobby and head to the Maruku Arts market stall for a fun dot painting workshop — hosted by local Anangu artists — and learn about traditional Aboriginal dot painting through the ancient symbols of the desert. Create your own masterpiece under expert guidance and take home this incredible souvenir as a memento of your adventure.

Enjoy lunch on your own either at the café in Cultural Center or at the hotel before and afternoon at your leisure.

This evening you’ll enjoy the ‘Sounds of Silence’ Dinner. Departing the hotel, you’ll travel out to a remote setting in the vast Australian desert. As the sun dips behind the many domes of Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and Uluru, enjoy sparkling wine and canapes while listening to the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo. After a gourmet Bush-Tucker inspired dinner the lanterns will be dimmed. Hear the sounds of the great Outback while an astronomer takes you on a tour of the southern night skies. View the stars through an onsite telescope before returning to your hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

Starting in the city’s historic Rocks precinct, you will learn of Sydney’s colonial past, gain an insight into her ancient Indigenous culture and take a glimpse into her future with her newest state-of-the art developments. Continue through the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden to one of Sydney’s most spectacular vantage points – Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. This garden paradise, in the heart of the city, is a favorite with Sydneysiders and tourists alike – it’s also the perfect place to take photos of our famous icons, the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge.

After exploring the wonders of the city of Sydney head east via Woolloomooloo, an eclectic precinct that is home to celebrities, a naval base and the famous Harry’s Cafe de Wheels pie cart. Continue onwards to the sights and color of Sydney’s red-light district of Kings Cross. In contrast are the terraced and trendy streets of Paddington, famous for its boutique shopping, coffee culture, art galleries and laneways full of surprises. Here, stop and enjoy morning tea before travelling through the affluent waterfront suburbs of Double Bay and Rose Bay.

Pass the harborside playground of Nielson Park, historic Vaucluse House and The Gap at Watson’s Bay with its magnificent coastal cliffs view. Take a walk around spectacular South Head and visit Centennial Park, another popular Sydneysiders’ playground. Again, this beautiful park is a stone’s throw from the city, but a true escape with its walking, jogging, cycling and horse riding paths as well as its picturesque picnic grounds and beautiful ponds with their ducks and swans.

Journey on to iconic Bondi Beach where lunch is included. After, you drive back to the city through the leafy suburb of Woollahra and trendy Darlinghurst with its stylish bars and eateries.

Your tour concludes with a private exclusive tour of the Sydney Opera House. Step beneath the sails and discover what makes the Opera House so inspiring. Happy Travelers!

Jonathan has gone out of his way each time we have used Purple Light Vacations! We always know we will get the best price and best location on a ship or at a hotel. Our favorite part is the destination guides that he provides so we can know the best of each city.
Jenny H., Kansas City, MO.
Purple Light Vacations handled our two-week trip to France, including Paris, Normandy and Provence. It was a pleasure working with them and they reflected professionalism, expertise and responsiveness at every step. They clearly understood our needs and preferences and put together a superb trip based on their keen experience and knowledge. They were gracious and accommodating, and supported and checked in with us all along and made us feel very secure.
Martin Z., Los Angeles, CA

I was lucky enough to find Jonathan just by googling. He was very personable, friendly and professional. He was able to put our entire trip together in just a few days and checked on us every day of our trip to make sure we were satisfied. He is the best and only travel agent I will use going forward.

Sedric, M., Dallas, Texas
My husband and I became clients of Purple Light Travel five years ago and since then, they have booked all of our travel. When I'm traveling with a friend or my family, I have used their services for that as well. They are polite, earnest and steadfast with their determination to have travel go smoothly. My family and friends have become an ever expanding group of their loyal clients. Whether it's a cruise, a land tour, an expanded vacation with different stops and hotels along the way or a combination of all three, Purple Light Travel has succeeded on all accounts. They have taken the stress out of travel arrangements!
Jim M., Palm Springs, CA

Jonathan at Purple Light Vacations has become our favorite Travel Agent. His attention to detail and his understanding of our preferences for travel is unprecedented. His knowledge of destinations around the world made our vacations spectacular. PLV gets my highest recommendation!

Tony S., Manhattan, NYC
Jonathan Geen and Purple Light Vacations are beyond superior. Jonathan has planned two European vacations for my husband and I and we are thrilled with his knowledge of what to do, his research of beautiful places to stay, and his communication and planning leading up to and throughout the vacation itself.  I encourage you to try Purple Light as your travel agent and see how much easier and richer your vacation experience can be.
Jane B, San Diego, CA
Jonathan went above and beyond to make our three week honeymoon in Southeast Asia the trip of a lifetime!  He was also particulaly sensitive to our needs as a gay couple, and recommended locations that would be LGBTQ-friendly. Unlike other travel agents we consulted, Jonathan was perfectly happy to work within our budget. Despite the complicated logistics of our trip (8 different cities), Jonathan made the process seamless for us and provided an extremely helpful trip schedule as well as destination guides for each city. All of the recommended hotels were gorgeous, and we were treated especially well since Jonathan notified them that were were celebrating our honeymoon. We would highly recommend Purple Light Vacations to anyone looking to plan a special trip!
Dominick F, Washington, D.C.
Have had the pleasure of working with Purple Light now for 3 years. Jonathan is the best in the business, he knows the market, he takes time to research the destinations, he makes it his focus to understand his clients needs and wants. There are a lot of companies in this sector but Purple Light Vacations is the best, from start to finish they are with you on every adventure day and night.
Vincent D. Cocoa Beach, FL

Truly impressed with his customer service, attention to detail, and responsiveness. If these guys are helping you plan a trip, you can rest assured that it will be amazing!

Brandon T., Lubbock TX

My wife and I had the trip of a lifetime in France for our 20 year anniversary, thanks to Jonathan and Purple Light Vacations. His ideas for hotels, itinerary and tours were spot on. He was completely able to gauge what we would love with just a short conversation and a few emails. Thank you Jonathan. You're a rockstar and we will definitely be using you again and again!

Torrii R., Salem, OR
We have utilized Purple Light Vacations for both business and vacation travel for a while. Our recent family trip to Italy, just as with our other travel experiences have been fantastic! He arranged flights, hotels and tours for each destination and provided insightful tourist information for our various stops. When we added our Son's pre and post Italy itinerary thru France and Spain, Jonathan was able to arrange great accommodations, and last minute assistance for an ever-changing schedule. We happily endorse Purple Light Vacations and Jonathan Geen!
Rosemarie L. Long Beach, CA
Finding an excellent travel agent today is extremely rare and we can honestly say, that Jonathan from Purple Light Vacations is an absolute gem of a find.  He helped us find the best package deals for our trip when my husband and I were in a tough situation.  We were impressed by the great deals he offered us.  We are so grateful for all he has done for us and our travel plans.  It certainly made our lives so much easier.  My honest suggestion to anyone who needs a travel agent today is look no further!  Book with Jonathan at Purple Light Vacations!
Jerry M. San Diego, CA

We just booked our second cruise within the past year through Purple Light Vacations due to their outstanding service.  Jonathan Geen is not only highly professional, he is enjoyable to work with.  What is the one thing we all want from the service industry, and especially dealing with travel and vacations-- timely and helpful assistance.  Jonathan was quick to respond to any   question or inquiry, whether by email or phone, any time or day of the week.  He went over and above to make sure we were taken care of, and even provided information about places he didn't even book for us.  Purple Light is now our go-to firm for travel and vacations.

Tod B. Irvine, CA
Jonathan at Purple Light  provided me with the most personalized, detailed service for my very first Atlantis Cruise this summer. Starting last fall and winter, he advised, suggested and planned with me to make this three week excursion a success. The key point I want to make is the sensitivity Jonathan and Purple Light were able to exercise with this professional gay male to plan his vacation so well and appropriately. I'll be relying on their judgement again.
Glenn Y. San Diego, CA
Thank you Jonathan for making my dream come true! Bora Bora has been on our mind for years; for its exotic and remote location you are required to pay high $$$$! I thought it wasn't definitely within our budget.I was over the moon when Jonathan proved me wrong and found us an amazing deal! He made all our arrangements and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed right down to the time of our departure. During our trip everything was seamless! I couldn't ask for a better experience

My husband and I recently took a trip to Thailand on a vacation that was booked thru Purple Light. Southeast Asia was new to us, and we wanted a bit of extra help. We got a ton of extra help, for free! Purple Light was with us the whole way- from early stages of planning to the actual booking and throughout our travel. When we arrived to our hotel room, flat-out beat from travel, there was champagne on ice to greet us. Wow! We've used them before, and will absolutely use them from now on.  I just can't recommend them highly enough to our family and friends. Save Save Save Save

My husband and I just came back from our 5 year anniversary trip to Cancun. We told Jonathan the dates we wanted, our budget and what sorts of things we were looking to do. He got right on it! Booked us airfare, an amazing all-inclusive resort, transportation to and from the airport (which I wouldn't have even thought of!) and even booked us a trip to Chichén-Itza. He even gave us some tips on what do and where to visit while we were there. Easiest trip we've ever taken! Purple Light will always and forever be my go-to for any traveling! Will definitely be referring them to any of my friends and family

We love Purple Light Vacations. We have used them for quite a few trips and they always surpass our expectations. Jonathon is the absolute best. He takes care of all of the details and is very prompt in answering all of our questions. We will definitely use Purple Light Vacations for all of our traveling needs.

Purple Light has made planning several vacations easier for me.  They worked out a family trip getting parents and siblings in from various places. More significantly, they helped us arrange two international vacations. After recommending Argentina to us, Jonathan took care of everything and it was probably our best vacation together ever.  He also recommended the RSVP river boat cruise up the Danube from Budapest to Prague...wonderful trip!  We've booked an Atlantis cruise through P.L. as well.   Of course we could have booked on our own, but using Purple Light was so less stressful and provided...extra help and advice at no extra cost!

I used Jonathan and Purple Light to book a trip for my birthday celebration.  He was very helpful and from the very first email contact to the end of the cruise Jonathan handled everything with excellence.  His communication during the booking process to the day of starting the trip was very thorough and he missed no details.  I will definitely be using Jonathan and Purple Light Vacations again for my future vacation and travel needs.

If you are looking for outstanding service, Jonathan @ Purple Light Vacations will blow you away. We just arrived at our hotel in Paris and it is exactly what we were looking for!! There were plenty of little details that he had customized for us to make our anniversary trip incredibly special. Thank you Jonathan. We highly recommend you to anyone looking for a CLASS ACT!

Jonathan  of Purple Light Vacations guided us through the entire process to book our Atlantis Caribbean cruise at no additional charge to us. He kept us informed on all the details of the cruise and events happening on/off the boat. Upon arrival on the ship, a bottle of Merlot was waiting for us. Upon disembarkation, an email was waiting for us to see how we enjoyed the cruise as well as a card in the mail to welcome us home. This attention to detail did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. I hold Purple Light Vacations as the gold standard for high quality travel services.

Purple Light has booked vacations for us at Disneyland, Aruba, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, New York City, Bahamas, Brazil and two cruises and all this since January 2016.  We are discerning frequent travelers with a budget in mind.  Working with Purple Light gives us the confidence to keep planning more travel!

I intended to book my own gay river cruise vacation from Prague to Budapest, but came across Purple Light.  I then researched the relativity of using travel agents in this age of connectivity.  I was surprised to find only positive articles and immediately contacted Purple Light!  And am I glad I did.  All I had to do is state my needs and the rest was taken care of by Jonathan.  Above and beyond my expectations.  He saved me so much time and money that I cannot wait to plan the next trip.

Normally I research and book hotels on my own. This year, however, I was extremely busy at work and I had no time to do this, so I reached out to Purple Light for their help in planning a trip to the Greek islands, and am glad I did! Purple Light recommended excellent hotels that I probably would not have found on my own, and they even provided helpful city island overviews that were referenced often. In addition, they helped fill in some of our time with tours that we thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend Purple Light and plan to use them again for my next trip!

We used Purple Light Vacations to help us plan our trip to Italy.  Jonathan was extremely helpful when it came to planning hotel stays, site seeing tours, transportation and entertainment.  He always got back to us in a timely manner and answered all of our questions above and beyond expectations.  We had no idea what planning a trip to Europe entailed.  Jonathan helped us with EVERYTHING and kept us in the loop the whole time.  His services were no extra cost to us and we honestly got exactly what we wanted at an amazing price.  Our trip to Italy was amazing and I know we could not have done it without Purple Light.  I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend you do as well.

We used Purple Light when we booked our Atlantis P.V. Mexico Resort Vacation. With no additional cost to us, Purple Light made what would have been a good vacation...an amazing vacation. They handled everything (airline, shuttles, etc.). Additionally, they provided excellent insight on what to expect on our vacation and what to see and what to avoid. I give them my highest recommendation.

Thank you Purple Light Vacations, and to Jonathan especially.  Jonathan helped us plan an amazing Cuba Cruise for my bachelorette trip.  It is not easy to book a trip for a large group including all of the flights, rooming/accommodations and excursions.  Luckily, we just proposed dates, destinations in mind with a budget and Purple Light took care of the rest.  Jonathan researched the options, made suggestions and provided us with great advice.  He was so patient and informative throughout our planning process, and really made sure that everything worked out well. After such a great experience, we also asked Purple Light in helping us plan a cruise for our parents too.  Our parents were very happy and impressed with the entire trip.  Thank you!!

We used Purple Light Vacations to help us book our hotel rooms in Copenhagen and Stockholm recently during a Baltic cruise. I had previously booked room through an online travel website but I'm glad I decided to go with Jonathan instead, or our hotel choices would have been in the wrong area. You can trust Purple Light Vacations to make sure you have a wonderful, surprise free vacation!

I took a short weekend vacation to Catalina Island with a friend and reached out to Purple Light and was amazed how quick they got me a hotel room and a list of great things to do! They went above and beyond! I don't think I will take a trip without them!! Thanks Jonathan and Purple Light!

We were in New Orleans for Southern Decadence. Purple Light Vacations recommended a spectacular hotel right in the area we were interested in staying.  We have also traveled to Italy, France, and Barcelona where each of their recommendations was excellent!  Everything went exactly as planned.

My partner and I really appreciated and got good use out of Purple Light’s city overviews for Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro during the Atlantis South American cruise. Purple Light's city overviews gave us a good idea of what the highlights were in both places. This was helpful, as we didn't know very much about either city going into the cruise.

Jonathan booked our trip to Thailand and made the experience absolutely amazing and easy. The hotels were perfect and it was so nice knowing exactly what to expect when we landed. His recommendations for things to do once we got there were extremely helpful and he gave us a "city overview" for each city we stayed in. We will absolutely book any future vacations through Purple Light and cannot wait for our next adventure!

Jonathan and Purple Light are great! Had them manage our reservations for a couple of Atlantis cruises and always been incredibly responsive and on top of things
Ryan M. San Diego, CA
I used Purple Light's Copenhagen overview to plan for restaurants and get a sense of must-see sights in the city. The suggestions were perfect and I don't want to take another trip without consulting Purple Light before I travel. Recommended for a first-class vacation that leaves you free to spend your time enjoying the city rather than struggling to navigate it!
