New Virgin Voyages Cruise Terminal Opens in Miami
Last week the new Virgin Voyages cruise terminal opened in Miami. Miami is the home port to their wonderful new ship the Scarlet Lady. If you missed our review of our cruise on the Scarlet Lady go HERE.
The new Virgin Voyages cruise terminal also known as Terminal V. The beautiful new terminal has a street address of 718 N Cruise Boulevard in PortMiami.
Virgin Group Founder Richard Branson was on hand for the opening celebration. “Coming to this beautiful new terminal and seeing the Scarlet Lady in her home port here in Miami has created a stunning building that delivers on our commitment to being better stewards of the earth with its LEED Gold Certification” Branson remarked.
The new 3-story terminal building offers wonderful unobstructed views of both Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami. It features a geometric design inspired by Miami’s history of palm trees and coconut harvesting. It has an outdoor area for Sailors to enjoy before boarding. The new Virgin Voyages cruise terminal also has a VIP lounge for Sailors that book suite accommodations.
Virgin worked with local architectural firm Arquiteconica and the local non-profit Art in Public Places who sourced much of the artwork. The new Virgin Voyages cruise terminal gives Sailors a real Miami vibe both before and after their cruise experience. It will be the home for VV’s second ship the Valiant Lady when it launches later this year.
Now is a perfect time to book a Virgin Voyages cruise. Not only because of the new terminal but because VV’s good cruise sale continues. For details on this sale, go HERE.
