New Attractions and Accommodations in Iceland

Iceland is one of our clients’ favorite destinations. While Reyjavik, its colorful and rather cosmopolitan capital city is a top drawer, so are the natural wonders south and north of it. New attractions and accommodations are slated to open soon in these more remote areas.

New Wellness Attraction-The Laugaras Lagoon

This luxury wellness retreat is slated to open next month. Located about 58 miles south of Reykjavik in Iceland’s famed Golden Circle route. the lagoon is sure to become popular. The two-level retreat will feature a cascading waterfall as well as other bathing options. It will also offer two outdoor saunas with views of the Hvita River. It is also slated to feature an upscale dining experience named Ylja under the direction of chef Gisli Matt and using only the freshest and locally sourced ingredients. New Luxury Lodge- The Hofoi

This lodge located in Grenivik in northern Iceland. Located about 24 miles north of Akureyri, this property is billing itself as Iceland’s most “luxurious adventure lodge”. It features great views of the massive Eyjafjorour fjord. Additionally, the lodge offers 40 guest rooms and upscale modern decor. It  also offers a spa, gym, restaurant and rooftop bar.
