Loew’s Hotels to Open Helios Grand Hotel at Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando Resort has released some initial renderings and information on the new Helios Grand Resort. This 500-room property will be located within the Universal Epic Universe theme park. The Helios Grand is scheduled to open next year. It will be located at the end of Celestial Park and will be operated by Lowes Hotels & Co. It will feature a Mediterranean design taking its inspiration from Helios, the Greek god of the sun.
Hotel and Room Features
The Helios Grand is described by Universal as a property that features “tranquil sleeping accommodations, entertaining amenities for the whole family to enjoy, divine dining options, a stunning rooftop bar and the hotel’s own dedicated entrance to the new theme park”. Per Universal’s press release “Only here can guest unwind in the serenity of a sunlit retreat in one moment and then within minutes find themselves in the heart of exhilarating theme park adventures”.
Some of the planned amenities include a zero-entry pool with underwater speakers, a hot tub and poolside movies and a state of the art fitness center free to hotel guests. The hotel will also offer a game room and the aforementioned rooftop Helios Bar serving tapas and craft cocktails with panoramic theme park views.
The Helios Grand will offer a variety of rooms and suites inlcuding How to Train Your Dragon Kids suites.
