Four Seasons Yachts Has Officially Set Sail: A New Era of Ultra-Luxury Cruising

Luxury travel just reached a new milestone.

The highly anticipated Four Seasons Yachts has officially launched, marking the brand’s first step into the world of ultra-luxury cruising. The inaugural voyage of Four Seasons I departed on March 20, 2026, sailing through the Mediterranean and introducing travelers to an entirely new way to experience the sea.

For travelers who already love the service, design, and attention to detail found at Four Seasons hotels, this launch brings that same level of hospitality onto the water.

And it’s not just another cruise ship. It’s something closer to a floating luxury resort.

Four Seasons

A yacht designed for space and privacy

Unlike traditional cruise ships, Four Seasons I is designed with an emphasis on space, privacy, and residential-style luxury.

The vessel features just 95 expansive suites, meaning far fewer guests onboard compared to large cruise ships. That smaller guest count allows for a more intimate and personalized experience throughout the voyage.

One suite in particular is already making headlines: the Funnel Suite, an extraordinary residence at sea spanning nearly 10,000 square feet and offering sweeping panoramic ocean views.

Across the yacht, guests can expect:

  • Large terrace-style suites with ocean views
  • Thoughtful residential design inspired by luxury hotels
  • Highly personalized service
  • A relaxed, yacht-style atmosphere rather than a traditional cruise feel

The result is an experience that feels less like a cruise and more like traveling aboard a private luxury yacht.

Dining, wellness, and life at sea

Four Seasons is known worldwide for its culinary experiences, and the yacht continues that tradition.

Onboard, guests will find 11 restaurants and lounges, offering a variety of dining concepts and social spaces.

The yacht also focuses heavily on wellness and lifestyle experiences, including:

  • Spa and wellness programming
  • Fitness experiences at sea
  • Curated activities designed around each destination

One of the most unique features is the transverse marina, which opens across both sides of the yacht to allow direct access to the water. From here, guests can enjoy water sports and recreational programming right from the ship.

It’s a design element that reinforces the yacht concept — bringing travelers closer to the sea rather than separating them from it.

A meaningful debut for the Four Seasons brand

The launch date wasn’t chosen by accident.

Four Seasons Yachts debuted on the same day as the brand’s first hotel opening in 1961, celebrating 65 years of Four Seasons hospitality.

The milestone represents more than just a new ship. It marks an expansion of the Four Seasons philosophy into an entirely new travel experience.

As Four Seasons President and CEO Alejandro Reynal explained, the yacht is meant to reflect the same genuine care, service excellence, and memorable experiences the brand is known for on land.

Caribbean voyages and new destinations

Following its Mediterranean debut, Four Seasons Yachts has already announced its 2027–2028 Caribbean season, featuring 18 curated voyages and visits to 18 new destinations.

These itineraries are expected to focus on immersive destination experiences, combining luxury cruising with carefully selected ports and cultural programming.

For travelers who enjoy small-ship cruising, luxury resorts, or private yacht experiences, this new offering is likely to become one of the most sought-after travel experiences in the coming years.

Planning a Four Seasons Yacht journey

Because of the limited number of suites and the level of luxury involved, availability for Four Seasons Yacht voyages is expected to be extremely competitive.

If this experience is on your travel wish list, working with a travel advisor can help you:

  • Secure the best suite options
  • Understand itinerary details and sailing dates
  • Access available perks and preferred partner benefits
  • Coordinate pre- and post-cruise luxury stays
