Emerald Isle Eliminates All Travel Restrictions for Visitors
Ireland aka the “Emerald Isle” has eliminated all travel restrictions for visitors just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
In early March, Ireland removed all COVID-19 related travel restrictions for both those vaccinated and unvaccinated.
Now, travelers will not need to show proof of vaccination, or any kind of COVID test (either pre-trip or upon arrival). No quarantine will be required either for those vaccinated or unvaccinated.
Additionally, filling out a passenger locater form is no longer required.
Once on the Emerald Isle, travelers will also feel a sense of freedom. Face masks are no longer required in venues whether indoor or outdoor, though they remain recommended on public transportation.
Ireland’s minister for health, Stephen Donnelly tweeted “I’ve just signed the regulations removing the COVID requirements for incoming international passengers. These were the last remaining COVID regs..Another step forward on our COVID efforts”
Note: As of press timeNorthern Ireland is still requiring testing before and after entry for non-vaccinated travelers.
