Disneyland vs. Disney World Why Disneyland May Be Better For Some
With Gay Days coming soon to Disneyland, we thought we’d pit Disneyland vs Disney World and see who comes out the winner.
Theme Parks
Who says bigger is always better? While we love Disney World and its sheer size and number of theme parks, that is not always a plus. If you want a full on theme park vacation experience Disney World is tops. Four theme parks at the World, including a larger Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, means you never have to leave the area to get a full and varied vacation. For some, however it can also be an overpowering and overtiring experience. On the other hand, Disneyland is the original, more compact and far more manageable. You can walk just about anywhere and get a Disney experience in two days or even one. Winner: Disney World if you are looking for an all-encompassing theme park vacation; Disneyland if you are seeking a shorter, more manageable Disney experience
Location
For most of our travelers, Disneyland is an easy drive up the cost to Anaheim. Plus, Disneyland is often thought of as a locals park with many residents visiting on the weekends. Walt Disney World attracts people worldwide and this lends another benefit to Disneyland… fewer crowds. Not to say it doesn’t get busy, but Disneyland is the more location friendly option.
Winner: Disneyland
Entertainment
When talking entertainment, you can’t beat Disney for putting on a good show. New options at Animal Kingdom and the Rivers of Light show and the ever popular World of Color at California Adventure capture the wonder that is Disney. Each park also hosts special events throughout the year such as Gay Days, Food and Wine Festivals, Halloween and holiday events and RunDisney events.
