Size is indeed everything in Dubai. The most populous city in the United Arab Emirates has for years built attractions that are the largest, or tallest whether it be a mall or a skyscraper.

On July 28, 2001, they will be opening another big thing to the public, Deep Dive Dubai, the deepest dive pool in the world. The dive pool is over 196 feet deep and the fresh water in the pool is enough to fill six Olympic sized swimming pools. They offer entrance tickets/packages to both certified and new divers. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool has a sunken city for diver exploration which includes a sunken car and decaying buildings.

There is an observation area for friends and family who want to watch. There are 25 cameras to record for posterity you diving and what you saw.

The dive pool is located in the centrally located NAS Sports Complex.
